General
- Set up an appropriate filling system for existing and potential accounts.
- Keep accounts up-to-date and properly categorized.
- Maintain prompt response to all enquiries or correspondence from customers and prospects.
- Assure proper handling of office equipment.
- Provide marketing support services to the superior and other sales staff as directed.
- Develop new business for the property and maintain business relationships with potential and existing accounts.
- Ensure fulfillment of customers’ requirements and commitments based on the assigned market.
- Sell guest rooms, banquet facilities and other services.
- Follow up old accounts and constantly seek new accounts through sales calls and newspaper leads or other sources.
- Create immediate awareness of the product in local and international markets.
- Update Delphi system with accurate data and activities.
Sales & Marketing
- Sell guest rooms and banquet rooms, and other facilities.
- Deliver physical sales calls and telemarketing promotions.
- Research and report market intelligence, competitive information, average rates and promotional campaigns.
- Establish a strong account base and maintain good relationships with customers and in‑house guests.
- Develop a regular sales action program in consultation with Supervisor to achieve individual goals.
- Make a minimum of 4 + calls per day, with at least two to new customers.
- Submit weekly calls reports.
- Organise regular visits according to a predetermined plan.
- Ensure availability of after‑sales services.
- Conduct hotel inspections for customers and ensure guest care.
- Negotiate prices to achieve maximum results.
Administrative
- Assist in annual planning of the designated market with Supervisor.
- Maintain and update the database of customers for servicing and property information, and direct mailing campaigns.
- Submit weekly sales reports and customer feedback to Supervisor.
- Ensure invoicing corresponds to sales commitments and services rendered.
- Confirm new customers have no negative credit references.
- Record statistics of sales efforts and accounts.
- Submit monthly goals and objectives.
- Prepare special reports as required.
- Ensure attendance at Division meetings.
Technical Responsibilities
- Submit sales performance of designated accounts with analysis and recommend strategies.
- Recommend solutions to improve performance.
- Inform operational staff of customer requirements for efficient servicing.
- Negotiate and uncover customer needs to offer corresponding services and facilities.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Keep up to date with product knowledge, competitive activities and strategies.
- Track market pricing and competitive hotel strategies.
- Monitor competition (sites, prices, services offered) regularly and quarterly as needed.
Human Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise client administrative requirements with the designated sales coordinator.
- Encourage customer loyalty and strengthen client relationships with bookers and in‑house guests through hotel inspection and special events.
Public Relations Responsibilities
- Develop and foster rapport with the industry, customers and trade members to promote a good image of the property.
Direct Liaison
- Report directly to the ADOS / DOS.
Functional Liaison
- Maintain contacts with all other property departments.
- Ensure fulfillment of client requirements with operations staff.
External Liaison
- Maintain contacts with professional people and designated companies assigned to the sales manager.
Replacement & Temporary Mission
- In absence, the sales manager may be replaced by another sales manager.
- Take new assignments/duties as required by Supervisor.
- Be ready and responsible to perform other duties as designated by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
- Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas.
- Results‑oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Experience with budget software and financial management.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
