Branch Manager cum Sales Manager (FMCG - Food Manufacturing)
The Branch Manager cum Sales Manager leads the branch's overall operations and sales performance. This dual-role position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on sales execution, ensuring the branch meets revenue targets, maintains operational excellence, and delivers exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed branch sales targets (revenue, volume, market share).
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to drive performance in acquiring new customers and deepening relationships with existing ones.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and channel partners.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyse data, and prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
- Conduct market visits with the sales team to provide guidance and close key deals.
2. Branch Operations & Administration
- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a high standard of service.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee branch administrative functions, including inventory management, cash handling, facility maintenance, and security.
- Manage the branch's P&L, control operational costs, and optimise resource allocation to maximise profitability.
- Implement and uphold excellent customer service standards to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high‑performing team of sales executives and operational staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans for team members.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results‑oriented work environment.
- Resolve team conflicts and address any performance issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and manage the branch's annual budget in alignment with company goals.
- Closely monitor branch financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial transactions.
5. Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer issues, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution.
- Implement strategies to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty within the branch's territory.
- Gather customer feedback to inform business and service improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales and Sales teams – Key accounts, Product Sales, and channel sales to ensure a coordinated go‑to‑market approach and customer.
- Closely liaise with the R&D, Marketing to develop partner‑specific programs.
- Collaborate with operations teams, namely HR, Purchasing, and Finance, to manage day‑to‑day operations, human resources, and budgeting.
Experience Requirements
- Experience: In managing a group of people, in sales and preferably in the food and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry
- Min years of experience: 10 years ++ in related sales and leading a team
