A luxury hotel group is seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead operations from pre-opening to full function in Malacca City, Malaysia. The successful candidate will ensure high service standards and guest satisfaction while driving revenue through strategic planning and operational management. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management and 5-7 years of senior hotel management experience. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential for this role, along with proficiency in Hotel Management Systems and MS Office.
Lead and manage the hotel from pre-opening to full operations, including project coordination, operational readiness, staffing, SOP development, system setup, and soft opening execution.
Oversee daily operations across all departments – Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Engineering – ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction.
Drive revenue growth, optimise occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR through strategic planning, promotions, and partnerships.
Lead, coach, and develop teams, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations.
Monitor operational performance, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
Enhance guest experience and brand reputation by tracking feedback, online reviews, and continuous service improvements.
Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving over 90% occupancy rate and maintain high average room rates (ARR).
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a senior hotel management role, including pre-opening experience.
Proficient in any Hotel Management System (HMS) and MS Office (Excel, Pivot Tables, reporting).
Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Results-driven, proactive, and adaptable to operational and business challenges.
Demonstrated ability to implement effective marketing strategies to drive occupancy and F&B revenue.
