Overview

Your role at Clorox: The Regional Sales Manager will provide leadership to distributors and secondary sales force in optimizing Clorox business in the Southern Region of Malaysia and Singapore.

In this role, you will

Business Development & Distributor Management:

  • To achieve the agreed sales, distribution and spending objectives by effectively managing and directing the activities of the secondary sales force.
  • To ensure distributor branches’ annual sales and distribution objectives are translated to individual secondary sales force by month.
  • To plan with Distributor Branch Managers on forward month trade activities using scorecards and review progress on the agreed timelines within the month.
  • To formally review distributor branches’ performance based on the Business Review Template on a quarterly basis.
  • To initiate plans and promotional activities that improve distribution, trade stock holding, merchandising, or sales opportunities.
  • To enforce distribution guidelines through a MUST CARRY LIST to achieve distribution objectives by outlet types.
  • To ensure the company merchandising standards are met.
  • To ensure good warehouse practices are in place in distributor warehouses.
  • To ensure distributors comply with the terms and conditions of the distributor agreement.
  • To complement the Distributor Manager in improving secondary sales force competency through coaching and field accompaniment.

Administration:

  • To ensure distributor claims are submitted according to finance requirements and on a timely basis.
  • To report competitive activities on a regular basis.

  • Good communication skills in English & Chinese (written and spoken).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative and take responsibility where necessary.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Workplace type: Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH
