A leading automotive dealership in Selangor is seeking a results-driven Used Car Sales Manager to lead its used vehicle department. You will manage inventory and oversee appraisals, while motivating and developing the sales team to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager, or 5 years in automotive sales, and a solid understanding of fleet sales and used car sales concepts. We are looking for a results-driven Used Car Sales Manager to lead our used vehicle department. The role involves managing inventory, overseeing appraisals and merchandising, motivating, and developing the sales team, and driving sales growth and profitability.
Plan, strategize and manage performance and activities for the used car department to achieve sales target, increase sales volume and profitability.
Responsible for appraising, purchasing, reconditioning, displaying, and merchandising the used vehicle inventory.
Forecasts goals and objectives for sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
Ensures customer retention and the profitability of this profit center by recruiting qualified sales personnel.
Motivate, guide, and monitor the performance of all used-vehicle sales personnel.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing used vehicle sales.
Develop, implement, and monitor a structured follow-up system for used-vehicle purchasers.
Optimize vehicle inventory management, ensuring minimal aging stock and maximum turnover efficiency.
Develop, monitor and enforce the SOP for the processes within the department.
Plan and manage effective display and merchandising of used vehicles to maximize appeal and sales.
Establish, monitor, and control wholesaling activities to enhance department profitability.
Assists in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
Stays informed on auto auction trends and pricing, actively attending auctions on a regular basis.
Tracks results of auction purchases and compares gross profits of auction vehicles with those of trade-ins.
Develops and maintains outside sources (wholesalers and retailers) for both buying and selling units.
Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5 years of experience in automotive sales.
Understanding of fleet sales & used car sales concepts
Experienced in car insurance renewal
Ability to work in a team environment and lead a diverse sales team
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
