Qualifications

• 2–3 years of working experience in purchasing or procurement
• Great organizational and planning skills
• Ability to follow purchasing and product specifications accurately
• Resourceful in identifying and evaluating suitable vendors and suppliers
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic data analysis)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Candidate will need to be able to communicate in English, Mandarin and Malay to liaise with stakeholders

Perform indirect item purchase

• Conduct thorough product research and identify new vendors and suppliers.
• Compare and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing to secure optimal deals.
• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders to maintain stock availability.
• Perform inspections of stock and report discrepancies or defective items.
• Accurately update and maintain procurement records, including orders, payments, and stock receipts.
• Track purchase orders and ensure timely and complete deliveries.
• Provide regular updates to internal departments regarding order status and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with logistics and delivery teams to manage shipping delays or rescheduled orders.
• Prepare reports and cost analysis for management review.
• Maintain detailed order records in the internal database, including vendor details, quantities, and prices.
