POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist in the monitoring of the operations territories and ensure compliance with all related documents and coordinate with all units to ensure operations of the airport run smoothly.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

1. Ensure that the airside operations is complying to Regulations; sarps; Procedures and Directives from the Regulator.
2. Assume administrative and operational control in absence of the Head Of Operation & Airport Manager.
3. Conduct frequent surveillance on airport activities to identify any unsafe, inefficient or illegal activities.
4. Prepare reporting of all complaints and submit necessary reports as required by HQ.
5. Assist in the contract management of cleaning services, grass cutting and landscaping to ensure they are monitored and supervised accordingly.
6. Ensure the competency of all personnel of Operations Unit.
7. Assist in the maintenance program to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and standards.
8. Promulgate information on aerodrome operational status such as temporary withdrawal of facilities, runway closure, work in progress, accidents and incidents.
9. Assist Head Of Operation as technical operations advisor to management in the formulation of policies, plans and procedures.
10. Attend meetings with government departments, airlines, aircraft operators, airport agencies and airport tenants to provide information on airport operations.
11. Ensure that the services provided by third parties meet the established standards.
12. Act as Secretary of Aerodrome Manual and meetings at airport, including Facilitation, passenger handling coordination and Airside Safety Committee Meeting.
13. Assist Head of Operation & Airport Manager during emergency situations.
14. Assist Head of Operation & Airport Manager in the implementation of certification processes, including SMS, Aerodrome and QMS.
15. Facilitate and coordinate VIP/VVIP/CIP movement management.
16. Prepare management reporting including monitoring of Operations Information System (OIS) and FLIRT.
17. Carry out directives given by Head Of Operation & Airport Manager.
18. Comply with DCA and ICAO requirements (SARP).
19. Fulfilling airlines’ requirements and demands.
20. Liaise with government agencies, stakeholders, passengers and airport users.
21. Manage challenges related to insufficient budget to maintain facilities.
22. Address issues related to more facilities and equipment compared to Category D Airports.
23. Manage increased passenger and aircraft movements compared to Category D Airports.

• Knowledge in maintenance and operation of airport facilities.
• Possess updated knowledge in the latest technology in airport facilities, world-class maintenance management and project management.
• Knowledgeable of contract management, including construction, legal and value engineering.
• Knowledgeable in local and international airside regulations and requirements.

• Certificate with relevant working experience in related field.
• At least 1 year related experience with Airports Operations.

• SPM with Credit in Bahasa Malaysia and Pass in English and Mathematics.
