POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Perform various airport planning activities covering the Terminal, Airside and Landside planning, as to achieve a sustainable airport development

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

1. Conduct specific airport planning activities such as Demand-Capacity Analysis, airside and landside facilities layout assessment, site survey, etc.

2. Develop conceptual airport optimization and expansion plan together with main scope of works, project implementation timeline and estimated cost which meets the traffic demand and complies with related planning, design guideline and standards.

3. Lead and coordinate with relevant departments and strategic business units (SBUs) to ensure all concept proposals meets the project objectives.

4. Arrange and organize the required workshop/meeting/discussion session with all relevant departments, SBUs and stakeholders and prepare minutes/notes of meetings.

5. Review proposals for endorsement on airport planning related matters of projects assigned.

6. Compile and update inventory of airport facilities and infrastructure, amenities and equipment, for future planning and development or enhancement projects.

7. Keep up-to-date in competitive development methods and new regulation and standards/materials/systems for future design consideration.

8. Lead and participate in airport planning activities with MAHB appointed Consultants and/or third party Consultants.

9. Gather documentation and stakeholders input for reference and design input.

10. Keep up to date on related planning, design guideline and standards i.e. ICAO Annexes SARPs, IATA ADRMs, CAAM CAD, National Airport Masterplan, MAHB’s Airport Development Guideline (ADG), etc

• 1. To manage various stakeholders input and balance those requirements to provide optimum design output.
• 2. To provide input and advice on airport planning requirements to external parties i.e. Government appointed consultants.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good in presentation and facilitation skills.
• Good in writing skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Good statistical analysis/operational research skills
• Able to break problems into simple lists of tasks or activities.
• Express positive attitudes and expectations of others in terms of their abilities and expected contributions.
• Takes personal responsibility for correcting customer's service problem promptly and aggressively.
• Knowledge of airport standards and regulatory requirements in order to provide technical advice to ensure compliance to international standards.
• Relevant experience of Airport Master planning or relevant subject area
• Understanding of integrated transport solutions
• Data analysis skills in Excel including production of graphs and tables
• Spatial awareness - ability to interpret and work confidently with 2D and 3D drawings / models
• Use of computer aided design (CAD) and AutoCAD
• Use of 3D modelling software i.e. SketchUp would be an added advantage
• AirTop, PathPlanner, ArcPort or related simulation modelling knowledge would be an added advantage

EXTERNAL

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Architecture / Town Planning / Transport / Technical

EXTERNAL

• Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 and minimum 1 year relevant experience.
