Job summary
A leading airport management company in Kuching is seeking an Aerobridge Operator to assist in managing airport operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires detailed knowledge in airport management, ICAO standards, and air traffic control experience. Candidates must hold SPM with Credit in Bahasa Melayu, along with relevant work experience. This position is solely for Malaysian citizens. Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year relevant working experience.
- Air traffic control license is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICAO standards is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Airport Manager in all airport activities.
- Oversee operations during the absence of the Senior Airport Manager.
- Surveillance of airport operations to ensure safety and efficiency.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
- To assist the Airport Manager and ensures that all airport activities are conducted in compliances with established policies; rules and procedures.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION
- To assume full administrative and operational control in absence of the Senior Airport Manager
- To assist the Airport Manager in developing policies; plans and procedures and in routines administration of airport activities i.e. operations; AVSEC and AFRS
- To perform frequent surveillance of all airport operations to detect and correct of any unsafe; inefficient; illegal and unsanitary condition including airports and STOL Ports under his region.
- To receive and act on complaints submitted by airport tenants and airlines
- To promulgate information and the aerodrome operational state such as temporary withdrawals of facilities; runway closures; work in progress; etc
- To responsible for coordinating work in the movement area and for dictating the safety requirement
- To attend meeting to provide technical operational information regarding airport operations; policies with government agencies; airlines companies; contractors and airport tenants
- To serve as technical operation advisor to the management of the company in the formulation of policies; plans and procedures.
- To ensure that the aerodrome airside operations are operated in accordance to procedures and regulations including airports and STOL Ports under his region.
- To manage aerodrome certification; Safety Management Systems; grass cutting; cleaning and landscaping contracts including airports and STOL Ports under his region.
- To ensure the implementation of SMS
- Detailed Knowledge in Airport management and Airport Marketing
- General knowledge in Financial, Human Resources and Commercial management.
- Detailed knowledge of ICAO standards and recommended practices is Mandatory i.e. Advance course qualification in aviation management
- Posses wide understanding of related laws, statutes, regulations, and certification requirement governing the airport
- Air traffic control knowledge, experience and license (preferably)/trained by the DCA
- Vast experience in aviation industry
- General knowledge in Aerodrome management
- Experience in managing the airport
Minimum 1 year relevant working experience
SPM with Credit in Bahasa Melayu, pass in Bahasa Inggeris & Mathematics
