- Design, iterate, and balance gameplay mechanics, progression systems, and in-game economies.
- Create and maintain clear game design documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, artists, and producers to implement and refine features.
Skills
The Game Designer is responsible for creating engaging and age-appropriate games for kids, with a strong focus on mobile platforms and Roblox. Working closely with producers, developers, and artists, this role designs gameplay systems, iterates based on player data and feedback, and ensures high-quality game experiences through testing and continuous improvement.
- Design, iterate, and balance gameplay mechanics, progression systems, and in-game economies
- Create and maintain clear game design documentation (mechanics, systems, UI flow)
- Collaborate with developers, artists, and producers to implement and refine features
- Analyze player behavior, data, and feedback to improve engagement and retention
- Perform playtesting, QA, bug reporting, and regression testing to ensure game quality
- Strong understanding of game design principles and player psychology
- Experience creating game design documentation and working on shipped games
- Familiarity with live-service games, progression systems, or in-game economies
- Experience with game testing, QA processes, or playtesting workflows
- Passion for kids’ games and awareness of current trends in mobile and Roblox games
