Legal Executive jobs in Malaysia

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Executive to support the senior management team in handling both administrative and legal matters. The role offers a good mix of office coordination and legal work in a fast‑moving business environment.

• Drafting, reviewing and proofreading a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier agreements, service contracts, collaboration agreements, licensing documents, non‑disclosure agreements, etc.
• Maintaining proper filing and records of all contracts, corporate documents and compliance files including board and shareholders’ resolutions, company secretarial documents and statutory records.
• Monitoring and tracking key contract dates such as renewals, expirations and terminations to ensure timely follow‑up.
• Liaising with the company secretary to review and verify resolutions, filings and other corporate governance documentation.
• Providing legal support to other departments such as finance, human resources and operations on legal matters as and when required.
• Assisting in maintaining and updating internal templates, policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current laws and company practices.
• Assisting in compliance‑related matters including those involving data protection, anti‑money laundering and other relevant company policies or legal requirements, as and when needed.

• Managing schedules, appointments and meeting arrangements for senior management team.
• Preparing and organizing materials for meetings, presentations and reports.
• Liaising with internal and external parties to coordinate meetings and follow‑ups.
• Handling correspondence and confidential information in a professional manner.
• Assisting in the preparation and coordination of business activities, events and management initiatives.
• Carrying out any other tasks or instructions assigned by the senior management team to support day‑to‑day operations and company objectives.

• Possess a Degree in Law with at least 2 years of experience in legal practice and/or in‑house counsel roles, preferably gained in reputable companies or law firms.
• Good understanding of contract management, corporate governance, corporate secretarial procedures and relevant Malaysian laws and regulations.
• Strong drafting, analytical and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of management and external parties.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
