As a Procurement Executive, you will be instrumental in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the acquisition of goods and services essential for the company's operations. Your key responsibilities include:
Supplier Management & Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure the best quality and pricing.
Purchase Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations, collaborating closely with warehouse and production teams.
Negotiation & Cost Management: Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured items meet the company's quality specifications and standards.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier communications, and inventory levels. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and expenditures.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Finance, Warehouse, and Production to align procurement activities with company needs.
Market Research: Stay updated with market trends and supplier innovations to make informed purchasing decisions.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Educational Background: Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, F&B].
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with procurement software or Autocount systems is an advantage.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken English and Malay. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess supplier performance, market trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Requirements: Possession of own transport and willingness to travel as required.
