Job summary
A construction and procurement firm is seeking a Procurement Executive in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will assist the Contract Manager, establish a reliable supplier database, ensure procurement documentation adherence, and monitor delivery schedules. Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu is required, along with a diploma in Quantity Surveying or Purchasing Management and 2-3 years of relevant experience. This role includes maintaining an organized materials library and reporting delays appropriately.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in construction or relevant fields.
Responsibilities
- Assist Contract Manager in procurement activities.
- Establish a reliable supplier database with details and pricing.
- Ensure adherence to procurement documentation procedures.
- Monitor delivery schedules and report potential delays.
- Source and obtain quotations for operational items.
- Maintain materials library and ensure proper labeling.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
Skills
Education
- The Procurement Executive is responsible to assist Contract Manager in his responsibilities for the company’s procurement activities.
- Procurement Executive will be responsible to establish a reliable and competitive supplier’s database that includes the supplier’s details, pricing and terms and conditions of purchase.
- This role will also responsible to ensure that all documentation related to procurement procedures are adhered to.
- Monitoring the delivery schedule to ensure the expected deliveries schedule are met. In the event of potential delays, this role require promptly report to the Board of Directors for further action.
- Sourcing and obtaining quotations for the items required by operations is also a key responsibility of the Procurement Executive.
- Additionally, this role responsible in maintaining the materials library, ensuring proper labeling and regular updates to keep the inventory organized and up to date.
- To carry out any other duties assigned by superior / management from time to time.
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Purchasing Management or equivalent
- Fluent in Mandarin language, English and Bahasa Melayu
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in construction or relevant fields.
