A leading automotive services provider in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive, Procurement to develop and manage inventory processes. The role involves sourcing automotive spare parts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Ideal candidates will have 3–4 years in procurement, strong knowledge of car parts, and proficiency in ERP systems. This position requires analytical skills and the ability to work independently, with travel involved for supplier visits and quality checks.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' experience in procurement, preferably in automotive parts or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of car spare parts (OEM & aftermarket) is preferred.
• Willing to travel and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase quality automotive spare parts.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct vendor evaluations.
• Monitor parts usage trends and reduce excess/obsolete stock.

As Senior Executive, Procurement you will play a key role in developing inventory management processes. This position focuses on the strategic sourcing and inventory management of automotive spare parts, refurbishment, and after sales services for used vehicles. You’ll work closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to maintain efficient stock levels, reduce downtime, and support smooth operations across our network. To ensure compliance with all procurement activities adhere to policies, standards, and platforms to deliver robust terms and conditions that manage CARSOME's service delivery and commercial risk. Plan, develop, and organize continuous improvement of procurement process effectively and efficiently.

Your Day-to-Day

• Source, negotiate, and purchase quality automotive spare parts, car refurbishment at Certified Lab and branches level, after sales services
• Knowledge and understanding optimal inventory levels and stock accuracy.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct vendor evaluations.
• Monitor parts usage trends and reduce excess/obsolete stock.
• Travel for supplier visits, warehouse coordination, and quality checks.
• Catalogue/e-auction set up and key user in ERP/Coupa system.
• Contribution to the Cost Reduction Program in accordance with agreed savings targets
• Business analysis e.g., procurement positioning and Spend analysis, reporting
• Knowledge transfer to other team members
• Local support and training to the business users
• Assist and support in all areas for Procurement team whenever required.

Your Know-How

• A tertiary qualification or equivalent.
• 3–4 years' experience in procurement, preferably in automotive parts or spare parts in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of car spare parts is preferred (OEM & aftermarket).
• Independent, analytical, good problem-solver and open to share new improvement ideas.
• Proficient in Excel and inventory/ERP systems, preferably in Coupa
• Willing to travel and work with minimal supervision.
