A leading procurement firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced professional to manage procurement processes, develop demand forecasting strategies, and oversee supplier performance. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, has 3-5 years of relevant experience, and is fluent in Mandarin to communicate effectively with clients. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role.
Develop and implement demand forecasting and inventory planning strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring uninterrupted operational efficiency and minimizing stockouts or wastage.
Regularly review and update supplier quotations, ensuring current pricing lists are accurate and reflective of market conditions.
Create and maintain comprehensive supplier databases to streamline vendor management, including contact details, performance metrics, and contractual agreements.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance periodically to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Conduct market research to identify new products, services, and suppliers that could add value to the organization.
Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including:
Processing requisitions received from various departments.
Obtaining quotations, conducting price comparisons, and negotiating favorable terms.
Securing necessary approvals for purchase orders from senior management.
Issuing purchase orders to suppliers and coordinating delivery schedules.
Preparing and submitting documentation to the Finance or Accounts department.
Addressing and resolving any issues related to delivery, payments, or documentation discrepancies.
Maintaining warranty documentation and liaising with suppliers regarding warranty claims and after-sales support.
Collaborate with internal teams such as project, marketing, and operations to ensure procurement activities align with business needs.
Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by management to support organizational objectives.
