About Our Client
Our client is an established asset management company, backed by a well-capitalised conglomerate. As part of the expansion strategy, they are now looking to hire a Chief Commercial Officer to provide commercial leadership and strategic directions to the business. The main mandate of this role is to deputise the CEO in commercial and business strategy, including but not limited to expanding the brand within the investment community, innovative product development, increasing clientele base, ensuring sustainability and quality of revenue, enhancement of customer experience and scaling up operational capabilities aligned in business expansion.
Job Description
- Collaborating with the CEO to ensure overall success of commercial and business strategies
- Responsible for developing commercial and business development plans optimized for both short-term results and long-term strategy
- Capitalising on market trends and preferences within the investment community, leveraging on the investment eco system including forging partnerships, innovative business models, branding initiatives for business growth
- Leading and scaling Customer Experience, Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, Marketing, Product teams
- Building strong and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
- Innovative product development aligned with market needs and requirements
- Ensuring sustainability and quality of revenue, including compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management and good governance practices
- Establishing and continuously upgrading customer experience, customer engagement, acquisition and retention
The Successful Applicant
- Recognised and accredited Degree or Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in financial services industry which must include commercial scope in asset management / wealth management / investment product / unit trust or similar products / services
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience held in a leadership / managerial capacity
- Experience within diverse customer segments (Retail, Premium High Net Worth Individuals, Mass Market, Institutional / Corporate)
- Extensive experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Commercial, Strategy, Partnerships, Product, or other relevant / related scope aimed at revenue generation / protection / sustainability
- Financial services industry background with strong exposure in asset / fund management / wealth or investment product is compulsory
- Demonstrated experience in the related scope of responsibilities will be an added advantage. Partial exposure is negotiable depending on willingness to learn and potential to achieve excellence
