A leading industrial technology company is looking for a Technical Sales Representative in Selangor, Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have a minimum diploma in engineering and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in the palm oil milling or environmental engineering industry. Strong communication skills in Malay, English, and Mandarin are crucial for this role. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to travel extensively for customer engagements and project management activities.
Retain and expand sales to existing customer.
Promote products and services offered by company to initiate sales prospects.
Maintain proactive activity in the coverage area of designated new accounts through calling, planned visitations (with purpose) and networking leading to effective assessment of business potentials and needs.
Ensure high visibility and take pro‑active steps to attend to after sales issues among customers to generate spare parts business as well as gaining future sales.
Build sales rapport with potential clients thereby buying their confidence.
In line with company principles and guidelines, at all‑time project a professional, capable, confident and reliable image to market.
Gather necessary information timely for the generation of quotation.
Attend meetings, share ideas and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Coordinate, follow up and manage sales & project related issues with stakeholders (mainly from customers to internal employees however when authorized, not limiting to vendors, contractors, logistics agents and another 3rd party entities) to ensure timely delivery or completion of works.
Give correct proposals and explanations at the correct time needed for expanding sales.
Stay up‑to‑date with product development and launches.
At all time, handle company confidential information with great care.
Any other duties assigned by management from time to time (e.g. exhibition & conference).
