Business Development Executive/Engineer
As a Business Development Executive/Engineer, you’ll be part of the Business Development team which plays a vital role in driving Sunterra Energy’s growth through new customer acquisition and professional frontline services:
- Conduct market study and identify new business opportunities for rooftop solar PV systems.
- Engage potential customers, assess their energy needs, conduct site visits to evaluate project feasibility.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals and tender quotations.
- Follow up with leads from initial contact to sales closing, with goal of meeting sales targets.
- Negotiate terms with customers in line with company goals.
- Update and track sales activities, maintain updated and accurate records in CRM tools.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with prospects, customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with our project, technical and internal teams to ensure successful project execution, good customer experience and on‑time payment collection.
- Collaborate with Head of Department to ensure successful implementation of company and sales strategies.
- Stay updated with industry developments, policy updates, market trends and industry peers’ activities.
- Provide market insights and feedback to company for continuous improvement of sales strategies.
- Attend exhibitions and networking events as company’s representative.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Marketing or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates with the right attitude, or passionate in Sales & Business Development of particularly technical or energy‑related fields, are also encouraged to apply.
- Ability to conduct effective technical sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, target‑oriented, and a strong team player.
- Possess own transport/driving licence, willing to travel mostly within Northern Malaysia for client meetings and site visits.
- Knowledge / experience in the solar energy industry / renewable energy sector / technical / engineering product is a plus.
- Prior experience in solar or energy‑related industries is a bonus.
