Job summary
A leading construction firm in Malaysia seeks a technical support role focused on developing 3D BIM models for building and data center construction projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct design studies, and guide draftspersons. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, along with proficiency in 3D modeling tools. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience or fresh graduates with passion for BIM are invited to apply.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Building Technology, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools.
- 1–2 years of experience in preparing 3D models.

- Develop and enhance 3D models for coordination works.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for BIM solutions.
- Lead and guide draftspersons/3D modelers assigned to the project.

Provide technical support for building and data center construction projects by developing 3D BIM models and simulating complex building systems for Architecture, Civil & Structure, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing disciplines.
- Develop and enhance 3D models for coordination works, shop drawings, and combined services drawing (CSD) production.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative BIM solutions for construction projects.
- Perform design and constructability studies for Architecture, Civil & Structure, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing disciplines virtually before construction begins.
- Review and ensure consultants' designs for the project meet scope of work and specifications according to the defined schedule.
- Issue RFIs, design options/changes, 3D modeling issues, and other design issues to consultants and follow up closely.
- Work closely with senior design engineers to propose design solutions based on engineering principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with Site Operation & Production teams on cutting‑edge designs, construction, and fabrication processes.
- Lead and guide draftspersons/3D modelers assigned to the project.
- Participate in technical, operational and BIM discussions to resolve project‑related problems.
- Comply with all Quality, Safety & Health and Environment requirements related to the job scope and workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Building Technology, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Revit (advantage).
- Experience with other 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Personal qualities: hardworking, willing to learn, adaptable, honest, team player, and passionate about exploring new technologies.
- 1–2 years of experience in preparing 3D models and/or working on building construction sites.
- Fresh graduates with a passion for contributing to BIM development are encouraged to apply.
