We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager (cluster roles) to lead our team at a new, landmark hotel in the vibrant heart of Shah Alam. This is a unique opportunity to shape the culture and success of a premier destination from the ground up.

As the Hotel General Manager, you will be the driving force behind our operations, ensuring every detail reflects our commitment to excellence. You will be responsible for optimizing revenue, leading a high-performing team, and delivering a world-class experience that sets the new standard for luxury in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve the hotel’s profitability, revenue, and guest experience goals.
  • Lead the property’s Management Team (HODs) to deliver a five-star guest experience.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are upheld.
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and service excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to develop luxury market revenue strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor key business metrics such as financial performance, market segmentation, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction to proactively adjust strategies.
  • Ensure brand compliance and readiness for QA Audits.
Employee Engagement & HR Management
  • Foster a high-performance service culture, ensuring all employees are motivated and committed to excellence.
  • Implement guest experience initiatives to maintain high satisfaction ratings.
  • Build a strong team through coaching, leadership development, and open communication.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and uphold ethical HR practices.
Property Maintenance & Operations
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement a preventive maintenance program.
  • Oversee all operational aspects to maximize return on investment and uphold the brand’s reputation.
  • Ensure seamless daily hotel operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service standards.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or a well-known hospitality brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure luxury hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and technology.
  • Willing to work in i-City, Shah Alam.
