Job description
1. Construction Leadership and Site Delivery

Provide strong leadership across all construction sites, ensuring end-to-end delivery of projects in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, construction programmes, and contractual obligations. Drive disciplined site execution and productivity across all trades.

2. Project Governance, Planning, and Control

Establish and enforce structured project governance frameworks including construction planning, progress reporting, site coordination, risk tracking, and issue escalation. Ensure timely identification and resolution of site-based risks, delays, and technical challenges.

3. Commercial, Cost, and Contract Management

Oversee project budgets, cost control, variation claims, subcontractor accounts, and commercial negotiations. Protect project margins through effective cost monitoring, valuation control, and disciplined management of contractual entitlements and exposures.

4. Statutory Compliance, Quality, and Safety Management

Ensure full compliance with all applicable statutory requirements, authorities’ approvals, safety regulations, and quality standards. Enforce a strong site safety culture, ensuring adherence to DOSH, CIDB, local authority, and other regulatory requirements.

5. Subcontractor, Consultant, and Authority Coordination

Manage and coordinate relationships with consultants, nominated and domestic subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities. Ensure alignment on construction sequencing, technical resolutions, approvals, and site logistics to support uninterrupted progress.

6. Construction Team Leadership and Development

Lead, mentor, and hold accountable Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and site teams. Build a strong, disciplined construction workforce with consistent standards of execution, professionalism, and performance.

7. Risk Management and Escalation Authority

Serve as the escalation authority for critical construction risks, disputes, delays, or non-performance issues. Provide clear recommendations, mitigation strategies, and progress updates to the Managing Director and senior management.

8. Other Duties

Undertake additional leadership and operational responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Director in support of overall business objectives.

Requirements
1. Education

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline.

2. Experience

Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in Main Contractor environments, with strong exposure to high‑rise, high‑end, or complex building projects. Proven track record in managing multiple sites and large subcontractor packages.

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site management, and building methodologies

Solid experience in project controls, cost management, variation and claims administration

In‑depth knowledge of safety, quality systems, and statutory compliance

Proficient in English and Malay; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage
