Responsible in supporting Property Division (Sabah) in providing the leadership, resources and support required for the implementation and on-going maintenance for the company’s goals. Accountable to lead, manage, control and represent the Project teams consist of Business Development, Contract, Project Management and Construction Management in Sabah Branch. Overall in charge and oversee project management which includes but not limited to planning, implementation, execution and completion, vacant possession and defect management of the project.
Communicates the importance of effective quality management system and conformance to the system, client, contract, project, statutory and regulatory requirements. To support Management and Heads of Department in demonstrating leadership in their areas of responsibilities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- To plan and develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress in line with the corporate direction.
- To liaise with external (consultants, architects, etc.) and internal (Contracts, Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Design Development Department & etc) teams in design and development stage of new projects.
- To support and suggest in developing comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholder and team members.
- To the progress towards goals and evaluate the effectiveness of all operations and personnel.
- To conduct meetings, prepare operation analysis and management report to monitor and improve efficiency of department.
- To closely follow up and liaise with authorities such as land office and local authorities on land matters and developments.
REQUIREMENTS (Qualification/Experience/Skills)
- Degree in Building / Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture / Planning or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in construction management and property development field.
- Well versed in property development process.
- Knowledge in statutory and regulatory requirements, and guidelines on property development.
- Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015 standard and preparation, implementation and maintenance of the quality management system will be an added advantage.
- Has strong management and good decision-making skills.
- Possess good leadership skills and able to manage project team achieve targeted revenue and profitability with effective cost management.
- Good communication and networking skills.
- Ability to manage the resources of the company.
- Preferably has experience in Sabah construction industry.
