Job summary
A leading financial services company in Petaling Jaya is seeking a full-time finance support role. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, assisting in financial operations, and monitoring expenditures. Candidates should have experience in finance or accounting, a tertiary degree or equivalent, and strong skills in regulatory compliance and financial reporting. - Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in line with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
- Participate in cash flow management activities.
- Assist in optimisation projects and process efficiencies.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships between Finance and Business Unit Finance staff.
- Support compliance with financial regulations.

The purpose of this role is to provide essential support to the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in managing financial operations, monitoring company expenditure, and supporting cash flow and expense management. The role involves tasks such as bookkeeping, processing invoices and payments, preparing financial reports, liaising with auditors, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in line with relevant accounting standards and internal policies and guidance.
- Participate in cash flow management activities.
- Assist in the implementation of relevant optimisation projects and process efficiencies.
- Establish and maintain an efficient, effective relationship between Finance and Business Unit Finance staff.
- Support efforts to achieve compliance with financial regulations and meet compliance deadlines.
- Build relationships across all areas of the company.
- Undertake all required training to acquire and maintain necessary knowledge and skills.
- Deliver high-quality advice to underwriting and processing staff.
- Act as onshore liaison to the accounts payable and receivable teams.
- Experience in a finance or accounting / assistant accounting role.
