Job summary
A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project budgets and cost estimations. Responsibilities include preparing tenders, negotiating with subcontractors, and monitoring project costs. Candidates should have at least a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is essential. Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively are required for this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimations, project budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Manage pre-contract activities including tender preparation and cost planning.
- Source and evaluate subcontractors and negotiate pricing.
- Monitor budgets and enforce cost control measures.
- Conduct site valuations and prepare progress claims.
