Job summary

A global energy company is seeking a Projects Portfolio Cost Engineer in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. This role involves assisting with cost structure development and implementing cost management processes for small capital projects. The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering, 2–4 years of experience in cost engineering, and skills in SAP/GSAP and Excel. Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in refinery or petrochemical environments focusing on cost engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls systems within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, report-writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing Cost Breakdown Structures for projects.
  • Manage GSAP network creation and purchase order generation.
  • Embed Shell cost control processes and prepare cost reports.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and manage trends and contingency drawdowns.
  • Track work-hour consumption and costs against contractual targets.
  • Support process standardization and improvement initiatives.
