What’s The Role

The newly formed SEAM (Safety, Environment & Asset Management) organization integrates these critical functions across a global footprint to support Shell’s businesses and assets worldwide.

  • Driving innovation and future ways of working through digitalization, Shell Business Operations (SBO), real-time data optimization, and global programs like Human Performance-Based Safety.
  • Providing performance insights to enable disciplined execution and reliable outcomes.
  • Supporting business units in developing and executing improvement plans.
  • Sustaining performance through strong internal and contingent capabilities, fostering expertise and consistency across the company.

The Engineer CMMS – ADT will be part of the VP TAO (Technical Asset Operations) organization, which is accountable for maximizing integrated business value across Shell. TAO plays a key role in accelerating the delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System, enabling peak performance in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas, and Upstream. TAO provides high-quality, cost-effective technical resources who, while not physically on site, are integral to asset teams—delivering value through end-to-end AMS processes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead CMMS implementation across Upstream, Downstream, and IGRES, ensuring first-time-right delivery.
  • Analyze technical data and documents to generate insights that improve asset reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to build and optimize CMMS data structures.
  • Extract and validate technical data from engineering drawings (PFS, PEFS, SLD) to support CMMS builds.
  • Support Safety Critical Element (SCE) identification and ensure alignment with safety standards.
  • Develop maintenance strategies and plans in SAP, including scheduling and lifecycle management.
  • Liaise with CP Data teams to build BOMs and Material Masters.
  • Standardize CMMS processes, tools, and methods across projects.
  • Track project KPIs, costs, and quality, driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure smooth P2A handover and compliance with SEAM standards during audits and gap closures.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering field.
  • With experience in Plant Maintenance within Manufacturing or Upstream, with hands-on CMMS expertise (e.g., SAP PM/MM, Maximo), and tools like WIMS, SPI-IN, and EDMS.
  • Strong background in equipment reliability, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and risk-based maintenance methodologies (RCM, RCA, FMEA, SCE, etc.).
  • Proven experience in engineering project execution, CMMS building planning, and quality assurance of technical data.
  • Skills in technical data and document management processes and tools.
  • Deep understanding of ERP systems and technical data usage in asset operations.
  • Professional engineering certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience in leading small teams and mentoring peers.
  • Familiarity with Shell standards and continuous improvement practices in TAO.
