Lead the preparation and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and reconcile general and subsidiary ledgers by verifying, allocating, posting, and resolving discrepancies in financial transactions.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, including:
Handle full set of payroll, including statutory contributions and payroll reconciliation.
Liaise and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and the company secretary for statutory audits, tax filing, and compliance matters.
Submit accurate weekly/monthly reports including bank balances, sales collections, and cash flow projections.
Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations (SST, WHT, LHDN) and statutory filing requirements.
Manage intercompany transactions and monthly bank reconciliations.
Oversee the issuance and verification of payments, sales invoices, receipts, and journals.
Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with internal policies.
Prepare financial forecasts and revenue projections to support business planning and budgeting.
Assist in improving accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
Experience in leading finance teams and working in fast-paced, multi-entity organizations is a plus.
Technical Proficiency
Proficient in Xero Accounting Software and Tally ERP.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and proficient in Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
Strong knowledge of statutory and tax requirements, including SST, WHT, and LHDN filings.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
