Assist with the strategy planning process, from process coordination to information compilation to strategy development.
2. Business Proposals
Manage the investment appraisal process for Business Proposals submitted by markets/operating entities. This includes liaising with Group Strategy and other Group Head Office departments and ensuring all relevant questions and comments have been appropriately addressed and relevant approvals have been obtained.
Evaluate Business Proposals submitted by markets/operating entities. Assess the project feasibility, evaluate business assumptions and risk mitigation strategies.
Provide support and guidance to the markets/operating entities in drafting the approval paper.
Provide guidance to the markets/operating entities on corporate finance, valuation, and financial modelling methodologies.
Ensure that the limits of authority in the Group Policies and Authorities (GPA) are correctly applied to Business Proposals.
Ensure that documentation on Business Proposals are complete and all relevant approvals have been obtained and filed. Project documentation includes but is not limited to due diligence reports, valuations, consultant appointments and internal approvals.
3. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Business Development (BD)
Assist with feasibility studies and valuations.
Provide guidance and assist the markets/operating entities in preparing investment proposals, including completeness of information required by GPA E1 - Investments.
Project manage the due diligence process, from consultant appointments to managing the consultants, reviewing the due diligence findings and flagging key findings to key stakeholders.
Ensure that project documentation for M&A and BD projects is complete. This includes but is not limited to legal documents, due diligence reports, valuations, consultant appointments, internal and regulatory approvals and commercial decisions taken.
4. Research
Conduct automotive industry and economic outlook research as requested by Management or as required for a corporate exercise.
Prepare periodic reports for Finance for inclusion in their Monthly Operating Reports.
Provide research support and disseminate research publications and data to the markets.
5. Business Analysis and Benchmarking
Analyse performance of countries and operating units against peers via internal and external benchmarking to identify areas for improvement and cost saving initiatives.
6. Investor Relations
Compile information and answers to potential questions raised by Group Investor Relations in preparation for the Results Announcement and Analyst Briefing.
Provide requested information to Group Investor Relations in response to ad-hoc queries from external stakeholders e.g. credit rating agencies, investment analysts
Assist with the write-up and compilation of information for the Operational Review section in the Annual Report.
7. Other responsibilities
Any other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned on an ad-hoc basis.
