Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager leads the development and execution of the school’s marketing and enrolment strategies to strengthen brand awareness, attract prospective families, and support overall student recruitment goals. This role oversees marketing campaigns, manages admissions communication strategies, and ensures that all initiatives align with the school’s vision, values, and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Development
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing and communications plans to drive student enrolment and enhance the school’s visibility.
  • Oversee brand management to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to inform strategy and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximise ROI.
Digital Marketing & Communications
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and social media strategy.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content for digital and print platforms (e.g., newsletters, videos, social media, brochures).
  • Analyse digital performance metrics and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Ensure timely updates of website content and monitor online reputation.
Admissions Marketing & Enrolment Support
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team to develop effective marketing funnels and lead generation campaigns.
  • Oversee communication strategies to ensure timely, professional follow-ups with prospective families.
  • Monitor enquiry, application, and enrolment trends and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Support the Admissions team in planning and implementing student recruitment activities and conversion strategies.
Events & Promotions
  • Plan and oversee key marketing and admissions events such as Open Days, education fairs, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate event marketing campaigns, from planning and promotion to execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Strengthen relationships with community partners, media, and education networks to increase visibility.
Leadership & Internal Collaboration
  • Supervise and mentor junior marketing staff, interns, and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with academic, finance, and operations departments to ensure marketing and admissions goals are aligned with school objectives.
  • Advise senior management on market trends, brand positioning, and promotional opportunities.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the education sector or service industry.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, CRM systems, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written); proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Other Duties

Perform any other marketing or admissions-related duties as assigned by the school management to support strategic goals.
