Job summary
A leading talent solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking a Laboratory Testing professional to commission and maintain testing instruments. The ideal candidate should possess a Certificate or Diploma in Science or related fields and have at least one year of experience in a laboratory setting. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with health and safety standards are essential. This role may involve handling hazardous materials and requires strict adherence to safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a laboratory or testing environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and HSE compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and sample analysis methods is an advantage.

- Commission, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct laboratory testing, sample analyses, and quality checks to support project and research objectives.
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all results.
- Prepare test reports and maintain detailed documentation of laboratory activities and findings.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and standards.
- Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., HS, mercury) using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
- Participate in equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory operations and data management.
- Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Science, or Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a laboratory or testing environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and HSE compliance standards.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory instruments and sample analysis methods is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and good documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Exposure to hazardous materials requires strict adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
- May be required to work in shifts or extended hours depending on project needs.
