Job summary

About the Company

Our client is from within the financial sector and is part of an MNC with presence spanning over 30 countries globally.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and review a broad spectrum of legal documents, including commercial contracts, tenancy agreements, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Lead efforts in PDPA (Data Protection), anti‑corruption, and code of conduct compliance to ensure organizational integrity.
  • Provide expert counsel to stakeholders on corporate, employment, and data privacy matters, including emerging business models such as SaaS, Cloud, and AI.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage legal risks and navigate regulatory enforcement with bodies such as Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
  • Manage the contract repository, facilitate corporate due diligence, and serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external solicitors.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE) as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya or equivalent in-house counsel experience.
  • Demonstrated experience across corporate law, commercial litigation, and transactional matters including contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
