A leading GIS solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a GIS Specialist. The ideal candidate will have expert proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and strong Python scripting skills to optimize spatial data workflows. Responsibilities include advanced geospatial analysis, software maintenance, and providing guidance to junior staff. A diploma in Geomatics or a related field is required. Expert-level proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and solid experience with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and ArcGis Enterprise.
Proficient in Python scripting skills for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and solid understanding of FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) for spatial data integration and automation.
Proven experience in comprehensive GIS software maintenance, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
Strong analytical thinking, communication skills and project management capabilities.
Utilize ArcGIS Pro for advanced geospatial analysis, cartography and data management.
Maintain and optimize ArcGIS Pro software across multiple systems including versioning licensing and updates.
Edit, maintain and automate ETL processes using Phyton (eg: ArcPy) to streamline spatial data workflows.
Support the integration of GIS data into enterprise systems and web-based applications.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to delivery high quality GIS solutions.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior GIS staff as needed.
Understanding of REST APIs, services publishing, and spatial database management (eg: PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL server)
Familiarity with government or municipal GIS workflows and data standards (eg: cadastral, utility, urban planning.)
Diploma in Geomatics or Geoinformatics or related field
