Overview
We are seeking a talented and driven Legal Executive to join our team at Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad. This is a full-time position based in Shah Alam, Selangor. As our Legal Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's legal and compliance functions, with a focus on property law matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and manage corporate and conveyancing legal matters for the company
- Draft, review, and advise on a wide range of legal documents, including but not limited to:
- Sale and Purchase Agreements
- Financing and security documents
- Commercial contracts and corporate documentation
- Provide legal support and advice on matters related to:
- Property development and land matters
- Project development
- Venture capital and investment structures
- Debt recovery and claims management
- Handle or assist in litigation-related matters, including preparation of documents and coordination with external solicitors (where applicable)
- Provide corporate legal advisory advice and support to management and internal stakeholders on a wide range of property-related matters, including lease agreements, property acquisitions, and real estate transactions
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and contracts
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies; collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
- Assisting in the development and implementation of legal strategies and best practices
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Law or a related field
- 5-6 years work experience (some experience in litigation would be an advantage)
- Academic- local / foreign university (minimum first class/ 2nd upper)
- Familiarity with property development industry (land matters/ development/ venture capital/ debt recovery)
- Experienced in corporate and conveyancing legal work (litigation/ drafting/ corporate advisory etc)
- High work turnover rate, meticulous, detail oriented, minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of property law, including lease agreements, property acquisitions, and real estate transactions
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks
