HELP International School is seeking a proactive External Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the school’s outdoor facilities and ensure a clean, safe, and well-presented campus environment.
This role focuses on landscaping, multipurpose courts, swimming pool maintenance, fountain systems, fencing repairs, and outdoor structures.
- Grass cutting, trimming, weeding, hedge maintenance
- Plant care, soil upkeep, fertilizing and watering
- Clean and maintain outdoor areas, pathways, drains and gardens
- Tree pruning, branch trimming and canopy maintenance
- Identify hazardous tree conditions and elevate when needed
- Maintain courts, turf areas, tracks, playgrounds and sports zones
- Inspect and upkeep goalposts, nets, benches, cones and outdoor PE equipment
- Ensure surfaces and sports areas are safe and functional
- Assist in daily pool checks: chlorine/pH levels, water clarity
- Clean skimmers, drains, filters and support backwashing
- Report pump, filter or circulation issues to the Facilities Manager
- Check pump operation, nozzles, water clarity and lighting
- Clean filters, skimmers and surrounding fountain structure
- Troubleshoot minor flow and pump issues
- Repair minor fencing, gates, locks, outdoor fixtures
- Inspect pathways, external walls, drain covers and signage
- Assist external contractors on major repair works
- Maintain playground equipment and outdoor seating areas
- Support outdoor setups for school events and sports activities
- SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Facilities Maintenance, Landscaping, M&E or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, pool maintenance or general outdoor repair
- Able to work outdoors and perform physical tasks
- Basic knowledge of gardening tools, pool systems, pumps and general repair tools
- Good teamwork, safety awareness and responsibility
- Able to work weekends or after-hours when required for school events
