A retail company in Malaysia is looking for a financial management professional. The role involves supporting financial accounting functions, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and leading the budgeting process. Candidates will collaborate with various departments to prepare accurate financial reports and implement internal controls for efficiency. Experience in finance operations and a strong understanding of regulations are essential for this role.
Support Financial Accounting & Management functions
Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations and local reporting
Coordinate and prepare issuance of invoices and debit/credit notes for intercompany charges across different group affiliates
Assisting, reviewing, advising and overseeing daily finance operation especially in accounts payable and claims process
Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting process
Collaborate with relevant personnel to gather and synthesize inputs for budget preparation and updates.
Provide financial technical support and guidance to business units
Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely and present clear monthly cost centre reports to management and stakeholders,
Internal controls and Continuous Improvement:
Identify, implement, and oversee process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and implement internal controls and management reporting guidelines, ensuring alignment with group policies.
