Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the calibration and weighing equipment sectors.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, offering personalized solutions based on their needs.
- Understand client requirements for both calibration services and weighing equipment, and create customized proposals.
- Prepare and present technical presentations, proposals, and quotations for calibration and weighing equipment solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to meet business objectives and achieve sales targets.
Technical Expertise and Consultation
- Act as the subject matter expert for both calibration services and weighing equipment, providing technical consultations to clients.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of calibration techniques, industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025), and metrology for various instruments and weighing systems.
- Assist customers with selecting the appropriate weighing equipment based on their application requirements.
- Offer expert advice on the installation, operation, and maintenance of weighing systems, and coordinate on-site calibration for various devices.
Customer Support and After-Sales Service
- Provide exceptional post-sales support for calibration services and weighing equipment, addressing any issues or concerns.
- Offer troubleshooting and guidance on equipment maintenance, calibration schedules, and service plans.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and proactively address any service-related concerns.
- Support customers with regulatory compliance and ensure that equipment and calibration services meet required standards.
Market Research and Industry Trends
- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and market demands in calibration services and weighing equipment.
- Analyze competitor offerings and identify market opportunities to help differentiate our services and equipment.
- Provide feedback to management on market conditions, customer needs, and new product or service opportunities.
Project Management and Coordination
- Work closely with internal engineering and service teams to ensure seamless execution of projects, including calibration and installation of weighing equipment.
- Coordinate customer training and provide technical support for product launches or service changes.
- Track and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for calibration services and equipment installation.
Reporting and Administration
- Report to sales director accurate records of sales activities, customer communications, quotes, and orders.
- Regularly update and provide reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Able to work in an very aggressive team environment (fast-paced).
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in sales, technical support, or business development in calibration services and/or weighing equipment.
- Strong understanding of calibration procedures and standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025) and weighing systems (e.g., load cells, scales, balances).
- Familiarity with different types of weighing equipment used in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and food production.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical customers.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills with the ability to handle technical and commercial challenges.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site surveys, and installations.
