Deloitte’s Global Energy Resources & Industrials (ER&I) professionals work with clients to help maximize business potential across the full spectrum of the industry. This role sits within the Operations Transformation team of Deloitte Southeast Asia. You will work alongside our clients to help them make decisions and implement solutions based on "Heart of the Business" strategy development to drive business value. You will have the opportunity to exercise strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the chance to solve complex problems and communicate your findings.

• Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work.
• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.
• Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports.
• Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products.
• Assessing restructuring operating models, organizational structures, and business processes to streamline core operations’ service delivery.
• Assist in proposal development, as requested.
• Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients.

• Gen AI / Data Analytics experience in Energy, Resources or Industrials industry - Energy/ Manufacturing/ Resourcing/ Industrials
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in a strategic or operations planning/consulting role and Gen AI / Data Analytics background
• Tertiary qualification in a business, technology or engineering discipline and/or currently enrolled in a MBA program or have obtained the qualification with a well ranked institution
• Prior experience with a trading or consulting organisation focused on commodity / energy trading, preferably working within deal capture / front office environment
• Experience and strong understanding of commodity trading processes, including physical and derivatives trading, risk management, market data management and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with technology stacks commonly used in commodity trading systems (e.g., CTRM platforms, market data feeds, trading algorithms).
  • Understanding of commodities, preferably mining or metals trading
  • Awareness of book structure, profit and loss, and risk management (physical & paper)
  • Exposure to CTRM system implementation, design and configuration
  • Experience with adapting existing systems to new businesses and strategies
  • Awareness of software development lifecycle and testing principles
• Ability to drive business process changes, challenging current business practices and working with key business process personnel
• Drive, tenacity, client focused and results oriented.
• An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and ability to travel (both locally and abroad) is a pre-requisite to fit to our short-term and long-term project assignment.
• Willingness to work outside of office base.
