Security Officer jobs in Malaysia

As a Security Officer, you will monitor the premises and protect our valued staff, visitors, tenants, and inventory. You ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control. You will report to the Security Manager.

• Conduct regular patrols either on foot or using a vehicle to ensure security of assigned area
• Perform security checks of entrances, exits, and other vulnerable areas to ensure they are secure and free of unauthorized individuals or items
• Maintain detailed records of security incidents, observations, and actions taken
• Take appropriate action in emergency situations such as fires or medical emergencies
• Enforce access control procedures, including verifying identification and issuing visitor badges
• Ensure proper functioning of security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems

• Minimum of 1+ years of related experience
• Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Operates in a [professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing] environment
• Noise level in the work environment is usually average
• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
• Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer
• Ability to learn basic technical skills, such as VMS and CCTV, Card Access functions
