Jabil is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer who will directly contribute to the transformative growth in our Enterprise and Infrastructure division by applying unique and innovative approaches to developing EOL Test Fixtures for production environment. The Test Fixtures Electrical Design Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development and production deployment of the Test fixtures in our manufacturing regions. You will also be responsible for interfacing with our customers, fixture vendors and internal teams from engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure fixture deliverables meet the rigorous standards of Jabil’s world-class manufacturing environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the full cycle of electrical engineering projects: requirements gathering, system architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, validation of test fixtures and release to production.
- Design and develop complex analog, digital, mixed-signal circuits, and power management solutions.
- Develop and review detailed technical documentation, including block diagrams, schematics, BOMs, manufacturing drawings, test specifications, and validation plans.
- Specify and integrate components such as sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, PLCs, communication modules (Ethernet, CAN, RS-485, Modbus, etc.), and power supplies.
- Perform detailed analysis for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal management, safety, and reliability.
- Interface with suppliers for component selection, custom parts development, and issue resolution.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and peer reviews to strengthen the team’s technical capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with Program Management to provide accurate estimates, project plans, risk assessments, and status updates.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Leader in developing and validating embedded hardware design applications.
- Directs all aspects of electronics circuit design with minimal supervision
- Work with and manage external component suppliers/manufacturers and provide input to their product roadmaps
- Communicates technical aspects of a project effectively to customers and manufacturers.
- Leads resolution of complex design issues and manages design trade-offs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Experience in designing FCT (Functional Circuit Test) fixtures and test stations.
- Broad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required one of more of Electrical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Power supply Theory, Digital theory, Analog theory, etc.
- Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages and scripting languages.
- Experience in LabView and TestStand.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
- Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: Component derating, DFMEA, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, simulation tools, etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years experience in embedded hardware design or other key competency
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
