Job Summary:
The General Manager, Management Information Systems (MIS) leads the strategic management of HABIB Group’s entire information technology (IT) infrastructure and activities. This role is critical for ensuring the overall stability, security, and smooth operation of the organization’s technology landscape.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategically define, lead, and execute the overall IT roadmap and strategy for the HABIB Group, providing clear technical direction and guidance to the entire MIS team.
Lead the execution of data and software strategy, optimising MIS investments to deliver tangible improvements in business performance and efficiency.
Ensure high system stability and reliability across all business platforms, proactively addressing potential points of failure.
Research and analyse industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the IT landscape remains current and provides a competitive advantage.
Analyse and implement continuous business process improvements through strategic enhancements to current systems and infrastructure.
Lead the MIS team in developing and enforcing robust cybersecurity protocols to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability against all threats.
Govern and ensure data quality and integrity adhere strictly to the defined Data Governance and MIS Frameworks.
Serve as the principal IT representative to Executive Management, regularly reporting on the technology performance, overall cybersecurity risk posture, strategic initiatives, and technology Return on Investment (ROI).
Manage and mentor the MIS team, including performance supervision, professional development, and strategic recruitment to fill critical departmental vacancies.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency in data visualisation and analytical tools to ensure the roadmaps include initiatives that deliver actionable business insights to decision-makers.
Knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM), cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and how to design a scalable, secure, and integrated technical landscape.
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Possess additional IT related professional certifications i.e, PMP, ITIL, CISSP) will be an added advantage.
