Cyber Security Services (CSS) is a critical function within Standard Chartered Bank. This team is instrumental in ensuring the Banks ability to soundly meet its commitments to multiple internal and external stakeholders as well as to maintain an appropriate risk profile for the business we conduct. Furthermore, the CSS team plays a significant part in the Bank’s ‘Here for Good’ vision and brand promise.

The need for this capacity has strengthened over time and is a principal concern for our regulators and the communities we operate in. Our success as a Bank is dependent on getting our Risk Management and Security capabilities right to position the Bank for success.

This role is critical in ensuring all Strategic and tactical Investment initiatives for the Vulnerability Management & Infrastructure Security Hive (VMIS) is delivered according to the Bank’s change management standards. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple initiatives to ensure they align with the overall business strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Lead all change initiatives within the hive to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of all Hive initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) when necessary.
  • Where required, manage vendor delivery and resources to ensure milestones are met.
Business
  • Responsibility to deliver the plan feature/scope for the assigned initiative that is aligned with defined Milestone/CGL/KPI/Risk commitments.
  • Financial Management. Manage financial forecasts for assigned investment projects/initiatives with highest degree of accuracy.
Processes & Governance
  • Compliance: Ensure that changes delivered adheres to organizational policies, change delivery standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine Agile processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance team performance and product quality.
People & Talent
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources (e.g., budget, personnel, equipment) across initiatives/ projects to ensure efficient and effective use.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor resource capacity and availability to prevent over-allocation and ensure initiative needs are met.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of resources in the Chapter by leveraging their skillset and expertise.
  • Share knowledge, experiences and provide support to Scrum Masters in the hive when required.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks and impediments and work proactively to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Risk and Issue management for investment initiatives: Manage RAIDs, Trade-offs. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the COO T&O and CIO / CSS /VMIS / Scrum Master to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalatethe mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Administration, or a related field.
  • Post Graduate degree / Masters/ Mba in a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) & Scrum Master Certification.
  • More than 10 years of PM experience in large and complex, multi‑geography, multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Some people leadership experience would be beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills (successfully lead and managed end‑to‑end technology services and or technology operations) with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation’s goal. Is confident and will roll‑up his/her sleeves to drive success.
  • Able to get things done in a quick‑paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn’t work and what does.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation; technical reporting writing across various types of target audiences.
  • Knowledge of Clarity, Sharepoint, Confluence
