RAMP GENERAL TECHNICIAN
Job summary
A leading aerospace company in Malaysia is seeking a technician for aircraft movement related tasks including towing and ground handling. The ideal candidate will have a technical certificate or diploma in engineering and experience in ground handling. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and teamwork promotion. The role demands safety vigilance and may require short/long-term deployment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level of Education or Certification: Technical Certificates or Diploma in any engineering or Skill certificate.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees in a multi-cultural and international setting.
- Able to drive a tow truck.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitudes; self-motivated.
- Good aircraft/helicopters ground handling skill and knowledge; remain safety vigilant.
- Able to be deployed as per AHM needs, short or long terms.
Responsibilities
- To carry out all aircraft movement and ground handling tasks.
- To carry out preventive maintenance on ground handling equipment.
- To send and pick up spare parts to and from a bonded store.
- To promote and practice positive teamwork.
- Uphold Airbus Values and promote awareness.
- Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.
Skills
Education
To perform aircraft movement related tasks (towing & ground handling including general cleaning of aircraft) as per airport, aviation and safety standards and to carry out general technician duties to ensure all ground support equipment is ready and in good condition.
- To carry out all aircraft movement and ground handling tasks.
- To carry out preventive maintenance on ground handling equipment.
- To send and pick up spare parts to and from a bonded store.
- To promote and practice positive teamwork.
- Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be exemplary to others and to promote and increase the awareness of Airbus Values, Leadership Models and Code of Conduct.
- Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.
- Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company.
