Job summary
A recruitment firm is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner based in Johannesburg to support manufacturing and commercial teams. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of HR experience within the pharmaceutical or medical sector, with proven skills in compliance, recruitment, and stakeholder management. Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to manufacturing and commercial teams
- Coach and support line managers across performance management, talent acquisition, succession planning, and change management
- Drive and manage fair, compliant recruitment and onboarding processes
- Lead Employment Equity processes, including committee participation and statutory submissions
- Ensure full compliance with labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, OHASA) and internal HR policies
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, and performance improvement processes
- Oversee HR governance, audits, and policy development
- Support payroll review, benefits administration, and claims processing
- Maintain accurate HR data and act as custodian of HR systems and performance management platforms
- Plan and execute CSI initiatives and company events
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification in HR / Industrial or Organisational Psychology (advantageous)
- Minimum 6 years’ HR experience within the pharmaceutical or medical industry in a multinational organisation (non‑negotiable)
- Proven experience with Employment Equity and HR audit submissions
- Strong HR Business Partnering experience within complex, regulated environments
- Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation
- Experience working with HRIS and digital HR platforms
