A specialist neurosurgeon based in Pinetown (KZN) is seeking to recruit a junior medical receptionist to fulfil full receptionist and administration functions and duties within the practice.
The successful candidate needs to be dynamic, a self‑starter, a self‑motivator, very organized and detail‑oriented and have specific experience in the medical healthcare space.
- Knowledge of reception duties within a medical practice, ICD10 Coding, theatre protocols, doctor‑patient confidentiality and how to create a good patient experience
- Efficient diary and appointment management
- Capturing patient information timeously and accurately
- Obtaining medical aid authorisations
- Liaising with hospital and theatre staff in a professional and organised manner
- Preparing theatre lists and coordinating with other surgical practices for combined cases
- Submission of medical aid claims
- In‑room collection of payments and receipting
- Matric
- At least 2 years experience in a similar medical receptionist position
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Computer literacy
- Exceptionally well‑presented and professional
+/- R10,000 per month
