A specialist neurosurgeon based in Pinetown (KZN) is seeking to recruit a junior medical receptionist to fulfil full receptionist and administration functions and duties within the practice.

The successful candidate needs to be dynamic, a self‑starter, a self‑motivator, very organized and detail‑oriented and have specific experience in the medical healthcare space.

• Knowledge of reception duties within a medical practice, ICD10 Coding, theatre protocols, doctor‑patient confidentiality and how to create a good patient experience
• Efficient diary and appointment management
• Capturing patient information timeously and accurately
• Obtaining medical aid authorisations
• Liaising with hospital and theatre staff in a professional and organised manner
• Preparing theatre lists and coordinating with other surgical practices for combined cases
• Submission of medical aid claims
• In‑room collection of payments and receipting

• Matric
• At least 2 years experience in a similar medical receptionist position

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literacy
• Exceptionally well‑presented and professional

+/- R10,000 per month
