A well-established agricultural organization in the Addo / Kirkwood area is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee full HR functions, aligning people strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years' HR management experience, strong knowledge of labour laws, and excellent leadership skills. This is a permanent, office-based position, requiring compliance expertise and the ability to manage operational pressures.
A well-established organisation within the agricultural and packhouse environment is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its operations in the Addo / Kirkwood area.
This role is responsible for managing the full HR function, aligning people strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation.
Manage employee relations and develop HR procedures aligned with organisational strategy and culture
Oversee and coordinate transactional HR functions, including payroll support and HR administration
Provide guidance and support to HR staff and line management
Workforce planning, recruitment, talent management, performance management and development
Ensure compliance with labour legislation and statutory requirements
Manage remuneration structures, HR budgets and reporting
Drive employee engagement and organisational culture
Streamline HR systems, reporting and processes to improve efficiency
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or related field
An advanced HR qualification will be advantageous
7–10 years’ HR management experience, preferably within agriculture, FMCG or manufacturing
Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, UIF, COIDA, OHASA, POPI, etc.)
Experience with Employment Equity reporting (EEA2 & EEA4), WSP & ATR submissions
Payroll knowledge and HRIS system experience
Exposure to audits and compliance (e.g. SIZA / SAQ)
Advanced English (verbal and written) – non-negotiable
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
High level of integrity and professionalism
Analytical, results-driven and solutions-focused
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Strong organisational and planning ability
Office-based role
Overtime may be required during peak operational periods
Permanent position based in Addo / Kirkwood, Eastern Cape
