Job summary
A leading hospitality provider in Malaysia is looking for a People and Culture Manager to oversee associate relations, performance management, and budget planning. The role involves facilitating initiatives for personnel practices, compensation, and mentorship. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in human resources, employee relations, and comprehensive skills in managing labour costs in alignment with company objectives. Experience in Microsoft Office is also essential.

Responsibilities
- Plan initiatives for associate relations and policies.
- Facilitate performance management reviews.

Setting the strategic direction and budget for associate initiatives which is distinctive and visionary and inclusive of goals, action plan, accountability for results within the property in conjunction with the property’s business plan process.
To coach and facilitate style of work and way of doing business: developer, leader, associate concept.
To support the Associate Care Team with the implementation and on‑going planning of Associate Care Activities.
- Planning initiatives for the property, inclusive of associate relations, personnel practices and policy, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, labour relations and organisational development to the Executive Committee of the property.
- To facilitation of Leading Performance Management review process for all Associates in the property inclusive of program education, process schedule, review interview and follow up.
- To facilitate remuneration for the property inclusive of compensation (bonus, incentives, etc.) and benefits administration (welfare, health, etc.) as well as industry competitive benchmarking.
- Provide “visualise” leadership and mentorship to associates. Example: dining in the Associates Café, hosting Town Halls, follow through on promises made.
- To control the labour cost in the hotel, hence responsible to ensure that it remains aligned with the budget.
- To ensure that integration and multitasking skills are developed and considered at time of restructure changes so that the labour cost is lowered without compromising quality and associates’ satisfaction.
