About the role

REMS is seeking an experienced Account Executive (Senior / Assistant Manager) to join our dynamic team based in Penang Island, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in providing high-quality accounting and bookkeeping services to our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting and tax compliance needs are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and other relevant financial reports.
  • Provide advisory services to clients on accounting, tax and business matters.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the accounting department and the wider business.
What we're looking for
  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in public practice or industry accounting.
  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge, with the ability to apply it in a practical, client-focused manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and technologies, such as SQL, Autocount, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
