A leading airline company in Malaysia seeks a Network Administrator with solid experience in network support and maintenance. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper functioning of LAN/WAN systems and collaborate with team members to identify and resolve network issues. A minimum of 5 years in networking, and familiarity with cloud networks such as AWS is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are a must. WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
- Provide support and maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems with industry best practices.
- Support LANs, WANs, Internet, and Intranet systems.
- Collaborate with the users of Airasia operations and monitoring to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.
- Responsible for disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.
- Analyse, isolate & troubleshoot network issues.
- Resolve network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
- Evaluate and modify the system's performance. Propose for improvement of the network infrastructure including the hardware and services.
- Ensure network connectivity throughout the LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
- Maintain network services such as VPN gateways & intrusion detection systems.
- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
- Experience in maintaining & troubleshooting the wireless infrastructure within the office and remote offices.
- Experience in maintaining troubleshooting Network Access Control (NAC)
WHO YOU ARE:
- Possess a Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
- At 5 years of solid working experience in the network fields.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia or additional languages is an added advantage.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Networking Administration and Engineering.
- Familiar with Cloud Network (Google/Microsoft Azure/Alibaba/AWS) Architecture.
- Familiar with Cloud Network Modules & Configuration.
- Preferable to have working experience in Public Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Self-motivated, ability to multitask, interact with all levels of users, team player, fast learner.
