A technology solutions company in Shah Alam is seeking a Senior Manager for Network & Network Operations Center. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring optimal network performance. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in network engineering, with substantial leadership experience in the telecommunications sector. The Senior Manager, Network & Network Operations Center (NOC), is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and end-to-end management of the company’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. This senior leadership role requires a forward-thinking professional with deep technical expertise in network architecture, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive experience supporting small to large-scale ISP operations. The role focuses on innovation, operational excellence, and aligning network strategies with the organisation’s long-term business goals.
Strategic Leadership - Formulate and execute a long-term network strategy to support business growth, covering capacity planning, adoption of new technologies, and infrastructure scalability.
Network Operations - Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of core, distribution, and access networks, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Team Leadership & Development - Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of network and network security engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Performance & Reliability - Ensure network uptime, stability, and speed consistently meet or exceed industry benchmarks and customer expectations.
Incident & Crisis Management - Lead the resolution of network outages or performance incidents, ensuring prompt action and minimal impact on operations.
Security & Compliance - Establish and maintain strong network security protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Innovation & Technology Adoption - Stay informed of emerging networking technologies and integrate relevant solutions to enhance network capability.
Budget & Resource Management - Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Cross-Department Collaboration - Partner with project, sales, and customer support teams to ensure network capabilities align with service offerings and client needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Management, Network Security, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Solid experience in the telecommunications environment is a must!
Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering or network architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within an ISP or telecommunications organisation.
Proven leadership and team management experience within NOC or similar operational environments.
Strong proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimising wired and wireless networks.
In-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools, incident management processes, service recovery frameworks, and performance analysis tools.
Familiarity with SLAs, performance reporting, and customer experience standards.
Good understanding of telecommunications regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
