Department Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Network Management Engineer (Monitor & Control), to join our global team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing proactive network management strategies, leveraging advanced tools, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to predict and help resolve network issues before they elevate into crises. This role is critical for ensuring the high availability and resilience of our global network infrastructure through the deployment of redundant and alternative solutions.
Develop and implement proactive network monitoring and management strategies to predict and prevent service disruptions.
Utilize AI/Machine Learning and advanced network management tools for in-depth network analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive criticality.
Implement network automation principles to ensure the monitoring system dynamically detects configuration changes, preventing drift and maintaining effectiveness.
Design and implement an automated monitoring and decision system, to manage redundancy and failover processes, ensuring seamless business continuity.
Manage, configure, and maintain a diverse set of network devices, tools, and systems across the global infrastructure based in 3 regions, supporting 150 sites and around 21,000 users.
Analyze network data for performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
Perform root cause analysis for complex network issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network management solutions with other IT operations and security platforms.
Document all network management processes, configurations, and incident resolution procedures.
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency network support.
Deliver a clear and understandable interface that correlates network health with affected applications and services for network engineers and key customers.
Experience: 5+ years of hands‑on experience in building and maintaining enterprise‑level network management.
2 years experience working with LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches and network configurations.
Experience working with Security & FireWall systems.
Location: The position is based in Penang, Malaysia.
Technical Skills: Extensive practical experience with a wide range of network management and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Cisco SD‑WAN, ThousandEyes, nGeniusPULSE, etc.).
Ability to communicate effectively with team, managers and employees at all levels.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
This role will need to be ready to support globally in all time zones (EMEA/US/APAC).
Certifications such as CCNP or equivalent.
Proven experience in deploying and managing AI/ML‑driven network management platforms.
Strong understanding of scripting for network automation and Net DevOps (e.g., Ansible, Python).
Experience with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Demonstrated ability to design and implement a global network monitoring architecture to allow stable availability and good response time to any region.
Travel Requirements: 25‑50%
