Job summary
A company in human resources is seeking an experienced HR & HR Assistant to support daily HR functions in Penang, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will manage attendance, prepare HR documents, assist in recruitment, and ensure compliance with labor laws. Qualifications include a diploma or degree in HR or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are required for effectively handling employee relations and HR tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR or HR Assistant roles.
- Confident and firm in handling sensitive HR matters professionally.
- Basic understanding of Akta Kerja 1955 and employment practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage attendance records and employee data.
- Prepare HR documents such as contracts and memos.
- Assist in recruitment process including screening and interviews.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
Skills
Education
We are looking for an experienced HR & HR Assistant to support daily human resource functions. The candidate must have strong knowledge of employment practices, basic understanding of Akta Kerja 1955, and be able to handle staff matters firmly and professionally.
- Manage attendance records, leave applications, and employee data.
- Prepare HR documents such as warning letters, memos, notices, and employment contracts.
- Assist in recruitment: job posting, screening candidates, scheduling interviews.
- Ensure compliance with Akta Kerja, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and company policies.
- Handle employee enquiries, minor conflicts, and disciplinary matters with confidence and firmness.
- Maintain organised HR filing systems and documentation.
- Support management in HR-related decisions and tasks.
- Perform any other duties related to HR as assigned.
- Diploma or Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in HR or HR Assistant roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, firm, and able to handle sensitive HR matters professionally.
- Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
RM2,200 – RM3,500 (based on experience)
Monday – Friday
8.00 AM – 5.00 PM
Saturday
8.00 AM – 1.00 PM
