Job summary
A construction company in Penang is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to manage infrastructure projects. The role includes developing project schedules, ensuring compliance with designs, and coordinating with engineers. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2-3 years of experience, especially in LRT, MRT, or bridge projects. Strong skills in operational knowledge of Launching Gantries and Segment Lifters are advantageous. Qualifications

- Strong technical and operational knowledge of Launching Gantries and Segment Lifters.

Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Ensure operations align with method statements and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with construction managers and QA/QC engineers.
- Prepare documents for monthly claims with quantity surveyors.
- Conduct inspections and manage RFIs.

Education
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to challenging projects. Experience in infrastructure, viaduct, LRT/MRT, or bridge projects is an advantage, along with strong technical and operational knowledge of Launching Gantries and Segment Lifters.
- Ability to develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Ensure Viaduct Site operations are according to Method statement and Shop drawings submitted and record checklists during the operation.
- Prepare and Submit Method statements, Shop drawings in Coordination with Construction managers and Sr. QA/QC engineers and get approval by consultants.
- Responsible to provide all the required documents for monthly claims coordinating with Quantity surveyors and contract managers.
- Initiate Request for inspections and responsible to close all RFIs.
- Responsible for executing post-tensioning works and submitting PT records to the PT Manager for further review and approval.
- Conduct Permit to load (PTL), permit to unload inspections (PTUL) on Temporary works with Temporary works engineer (PE), CICE, etc.
- Coordinate with Document Controller to maintain all construction related documents.
- Monitor project progress, ensure compliance with designs and specifications, and identify opportunities to allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently and coordinate with procurement to meet project milestones.
- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental considerations are integrated into all planning and execution processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
