Position Overview

Cosmx Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd – Kulim, Kedah

Cosmx Technology & Battery: A manufacturing site with a future plan of hiring 800–1000 people in year 2026 and a long-term workforce size of 2,000 employees.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and managing end-to-end recruitment activities for all Direct-Labour positions, including operators, technicians, operation workers and warehouse crew. This role ensures manpower readiness to support production demands, business expansion, and workforce stability.

Job Description

1. Recruitment Strategy & Planning

  • Forecast and plan monthly/quarterly Direct-Labour hiring based on production schedules, headcount plans, and attrition trends.
  • Partner with respective Head of Department to understand manpower requirements and skills needed.
  • Develop high-volume recruitment strategies for Direct-Labour roles.

2. Sourcing & Talent Pipeline

  • Source candidates through job portals, walk-in interviews, career fairs, agencies and social media.
  • Build and maintain a talent pool of experienced operators/technicians for quick deployment.
  • Work with recruitment agencies, vocational schools and government employment centres to secure manpower supply.

3. Interviewing & Selection

  • Conduct screening, pre-interviews, schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ensure selection process aligns with skill requirements, shift needs, and production environment.
  • Support mass interview sessions, on-the-spot hiring events, and walk-in recruitment.

4. Hiring Operations

  • Manage offer issuance, employment contracts, pre-employment checks and onboarding preparation.
  • Coordinate start dates, badge/locker key issuance and orientation sessions.
  • Ensure timely fulfilment of Direct-Labour vacancies to avoid production downtime.

5. Recruitment Process Improvement

  • Track recruitment KPIs: time-to-fill, hiring cost, offer acceptance rate, retention rate etc.
  • Improve hiring processes for efficiency and reduce attrition among newly hired Direct-Labour.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment reports and dashboards.

6. Employer Branding

  • Support employer branding for blue-collar workforce: recruitment marketing posters, social media posts, on-site banners, job fairs.
  • Promote the company as an employer of choice for operators/technicians.

7. Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure hiring practices comply with company policies, Employment Act, and labour regulations.
  • Manage recruitment documentation, candidate database, and audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies, or equivalent.
  • At least 2–6 years of working experiences as Talent Acquisition/Recruiter in high-volume hiring, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing industry.
  • Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia & English language. Mandarin language will be a plus.
  • Possess strong communication and people-interaction skills with team-work spirit.
  • Experience in handling walk-in interviews, recruitment agencies, or mass hiring events.
  • Willing to work at our new manufacturing site - Karangan, Kedah.
