We are looking for a Sales Manager with experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry who speaks English fluently for our client based in Selangor.
Position: Sales Manager
Status: 6 months’ probation under contract with PERSOLKELLY Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd, with the potential for permanent placement upon successful completion of probation.
Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor
Company Background: Warehouse and Logistic Service Provider
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Working Hours: 9am – 6pm
Salary: Up to RM8k
Benefits: Medical AIA insurance
Entitlement: Annual Leave (AL) based on contract, Sick Leave, and Hospitalization Leave based on Malaysian Employment Act. Contributions to EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving the stipulated sales targets set by HQ.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities by identifying and targeting potential customers through market research.
- Generate leads through various means such as cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals.
- Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new BCOs to understand their evolving needs and ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop a deep understanding of the logistics solutions and services provided to clients.
- Collaborate with BCOs to design tailored logistics solutions that align with their specific requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with BCOs to secure profitable agreements.
- Stay informed about logistics industry trends, competitive services, and market conditions.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements, especially for international logistics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as operations and customer service, to ensure successful execution of contracts.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Tertiary qualifications in any course.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales/business development within Logistics/Freight-forwarding.
- Language: Effective verbal and written communication in English and interpersonal skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid working knowledge in the Freight Forwarding Industry.
- Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow, and close business opportunities.
- Results-driven, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Great negotiation, consultative, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, be organized, methodical, and perform well under pressure.
