Job summary

A financial services company in Malacca City is seeking an experienced accounting professional. The role involves managing full sets of accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and audits. Job description
Job Responsibilities

Handle full sets of accounts including on AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and adhoc.

Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and analysis.

Monitor cash flow, aging reports, and follow up with customers on outstanding payments.

Verify supplier invoices, process payments, and ensure timely settlement.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Coordinate yearly audit, tax submission, and statutory reporting.

Review and ensure accuracy of accounting entries and compliance with company policies.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers, and internal departments.

Prepare & maintain fixed assets register, monthly depreciation computation & journal entries input.

Lead and support junior accounting staff when required.

Any other accounting duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accountant / Equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and full set accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Accounting software.
  • Familiarity with general accounting practices, such as bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, and month-end closing.
  • Good analytical skills, accuracy, and time-management abilities.
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
  • Able to multitasking and work independently with minimal supervision.
