About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Senior Events and PR Manager to lead the planning and execution of a high-impact events and PR program across Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

In this regional leadership role - based in Selangor, KL, Malaysia -you will be responsible for building and delivering an integrated events and PR program that drives audience engagement, builds brand awareness, and strengthens customer loyalty.

You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer, based in Brisbane Australia, and work closely with the country leadership and regional marketing team, as well as cross-functional teams in sales, client success and solutions to ensure all initiatives align with business and marketing objectives. You will also oversee PR agency relationships, evaluate sponsorship opportunities, and implement frameworks to measure impact and optimise marketing investment.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Working with the CMO, you will devise a regional event strategy that aligns with the overall marketing and business goals.
• Establishing a programmatic framework for event planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
• Managing PR agencies and outputs across the region (excluding Australia), including pre- and post-event media engagement, press releases, and subject matter expert collaborations.
• Evaluating sponsorship opportunities using a clear business and brand alignment framework and presenting to the CMO for review.
• Driving community engagement through user forums and integrated online and offline experiences, in conjunction with the broader marketing team.
• Championing data-driven decision-making, ensuring event and PR metrics support strategic business outcomes.
• Leading and mentoring a team of two Event Specialists across two countries, creating a culture of collaboration, creativity, and operational excellence.

About You

Fluent in English, you will need to be an accomplished events and PR leader, with proven team leadership experience, who thrives in a fast-paced, across-market environment. Your ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution means you can craft memorable experiences that drive real business outcomes.

With over a decade of experience in event management, ideally in international organizations, and at least five years leading high-performing, distributed teams, you bring the commercial mindset, creativity, and cultural awareness needed to succeed across diverse markets.

You are a natural collaborator, confident communicator, and data-savvy marketer who understands how to integrate PR and event strategies into broader marketing objectives to elevate brand awareness and customer connection with the Esri distributor brands (Esri Malaysia, Esri Indonesia, Esri Singapore).

We are looking for someone who brings:

• 10+ years in senior event management roles, with experience across face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid event formats.
• Minimum 5 years in a people leadership position, ideally managing geographically distributed teams.
• Proven expertise in public relations, including agency management, press relations, and media engagement across Asian markets.
• A deep understanding of sponsorship evaluation, event technologies, and community engagement best practices.
• Strong knowledge of event management software and martech and CRM integration to capture audience data and support sales enablement.
• Excellent budgeting, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• A track record of working closely with Sales and Client Success teams to build aligned go-to-market strategies.
• Experience working across multiple countries, with cultural agility and adaptability.
• A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and measuring what matters.
