Job Purpose
The position is primarily responsible for managing Business as Usual (BAU) or MDEC operational events, involving strategic planning, execution, and delivery of programs. The manager serves as a central hub, overseeing resource utilization, project timelines, performance analytics, and communication needs.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MDEC’s BAU event projects owned by the Corporate Communication Division.
- Manage the team to conduct due diligence to assess the merits of potential campaigns/programs against MDEC’s and its brand vision, mission, and objectives.
- Drive effective implementation and delivery of team KPIs within quality standards by managing performance regularly.
- Drive and manage effective BAU campaigns and event programs in alignment with the strategy, ensuring compliance and deadlines are met.
- Contribute to reviewing and editing existing project promotional concepts and materials for effectiveness, cross-selling, and brand guideline adherence.
- Implement quality control mechanisms in all programs and event projects to ensure exceptional delivery and execution.
- Manage and analyze risk factors to formulate mitigation measures.
- Manage and support specific event management projects owned by internal stakeholders.
- Lead and manage assigned tasks within compliance and deadlines.
- Review valuable input and updates analysis for campaign/program promotional objectives.
- Support outreach campaigns, initiatives, and event projects through integrated communication and engagement with stakeholders.
- Report or escalate critical issues to the Head of Department as needed.
- Develop and implement monitoring and reporting tools to ensure operational efficiency.
- Gather and analyze data from various sources to generate insights.
- Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting performance trends and improvement areas.
- Serve as the primary liaison for procurement activities, supporting project requests and ensuring policy compliance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic vendor partnerships.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, implementing and monitoring new processes.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Foster a collaborative, data-driven environment and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and adopt relevant advancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, communication, business administration, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or project management, preferably in marketing or corporate communication.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, leading multi-departmental teams, and delivering results on time and within budget.
